We are honored to welcome The Hip Abduction to The LAWN, Wednesday, August 3rd! Formed in St. Petersburg in 2010, the six-piece ensemble arrived at its vibrant sound thanks to its members' collective interest in fusing the music of the world's sunny climates with a strong, melodic pop sense. Guests can expect an afro-pop/alt-rock band that weaves together Western pop aesthetics with African rhythms and traditions. Do not miss out!
Concert Beneficiary: This evening is a part of our FREE concert series on The LAWN presented by South Main Arts & Parks Trust in partnership with River Runners. We have selected five local organizations to support with this concert series. This show featuring The Hip Abduction will shine a light on the Boys & Girls Club of Chaffee County. For those that are able to give, we’ll have a suggested $20 donation at the door that will go directly to the Boys & Girls Club.

About The Hip Abduction:
Evoking the ocean and guided by the spirit of travel, The Hip Abduction pilot a sonic expedition past genre barriers. The band is the moniker for singer/songwriter David New who writes and produces music in between travel excursions and touring.
