About the South Main Arts & Parks Trust
The South Main Arts & Parks Trust is a non profit created in 2012 to bring world-class arts, culture and recreation to Buena Vista, CO. While free concerts at The LAWN have been its primary focus to date, the vision for the South Main Arts & Parks Trust goes much further. Future projects include an outdoor amphitheater for music, outdoor movies, events and festivals. We also want to build playgrounds, continually improve the river park, plant flowers, build bridges, and bring a variety of world-class arts to our town
The South Main Arts & Parks Trust is a nonprofit that was established in 2012 to bring world-class arts, culture, and recreation to Buena Vista, CO. The South Main Arts and Parks Trust has played an essential role in building and maintaining the Town’s Whitewater Park, and constructed the outdoor living rooms, a popular installation located on the Arkansas River in the South Main neighborhood. The South Main Arts and Parks Trust is also proud to be a valued partner for the fine arts community in Buena Vista and has hosted over 150 free concerts, movie premiers, and auctions over the years to raise money for philanthropic efforts and community initiatives.
The Mission
To continually support the community by improving the river park, planting flowers, building bridges, and bringing a variety of world-class art and culture to Buena Vista.
