Concert Beneficiary: This evening is a part of our FREE concert series on The LAWN presented by South Main Arts & Parks Trust in partnership with River Runners. We have selected five local organizations to support with this concert series. This concert will shine a light on Coletrain Music Academy, a Chaffee County-based music school that empowers its students through professional music education and inspires the community by championing the arts. Donations made this evening will go directly to funding music education.

About David Lawrence & The Spoonful:
David Lawrence & the Spoonful blend a soulful mix of blues, Americana, and poetic lyrics that are skillfully paired with jazz-influenced guitar. David has called Colorado home for over a decade. Whether performing solo or with his full band, ‘The Spoonful,’ David brings a unique blend of finger-picking Delta blues, roots-Americana, soulful vocals, and his style of Gypsy-infused jazz guitar. In recent years, David has focused more on his original sound, currently recording his second solo album featuring some of Colorado’s best musicians and set to release mid 2022. A poet at heart, David’s original sound combines evocative imagery and storytelling with infectious melodies and rich, layered guitar playing. True to his musical roots, David’s music is raw, gritty, soulful, and full of heart.
With ‘The Spoonful’ and a variety of other projects, David keeps a packed performing schedule with well over 200 gigs a year. Everything from restaurants and private events to some of the biggest festivals and stages in Colorado including City Park Jazz, Union Station, New West Fest and the People’s Fair. David hosted his debut solo album release show at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox in December 2019.
