Alex Blocker breaks boundaries with his genre-fusing contemporary style that combines R&B, Hip-Hop, and Jazz soundscapes. Having shared stages with performers such as Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Masta Ace, Gramatik, Boombox, Nappy Roots, and more, Blocker's performance resume boasts several shows in top venues including Ball Arena, Broadmoor World Arena, Taste of Chicago, Bluebird Theatre, Fox Theatre, and Chicago State University. Influenced by his Chicago roots, Blocker has expressed musical ingenuity as a producer, instrumentalist, and vocalist on several previous releases, gracing the cover of Westword, being featured as part of Narkita Gold's "Black in Denver" art Exhibit at Denver's Museum of Contemporary Art, being named as "New Colorado Music You Should Know" by 303 Magazine several times, and garnering top accolades from premiere publications. Blocker's name is one that is regularly mentioned in the Denver and Chicago music scenes, as his music showcases his contemporary violin finesse and toys with the boundaries of genre - creating an original artistic style that is completely his own.
