Don't miss the 5th Annual Buena Vista Polar Plunge at South Main's River Park!
DATE: Saturday, December 3rd
TIMES: Registration - 11:30 am / Event - 12 pm / Recovery- 12:30 pm
COST: Enter the Polar Plunge for $10 which will go to Toys for Tikes. Please make checks payable to BV Schools.
Join us a South Main's River Park (in front of Surf Hotel) to watch folks young and old plunge into the icy water of the Arkansas River to help raise funds for the local Toys for Tikes programs. This annual event and holiday season kick-off will be in conjunction with the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce Christmas opening. (Ps. Festive costumes are encouraged but optional!)
What should you bring to the Plunge?
• Plunge costume – prizes will be awarded!
• Shoes to plunge in – water shoes or old tennis shoes are best; flip flops quickly will be lost
• Change of clothes for after the plunge so you can hang out.
• Towel
What happens if there is bad weather?
The Plunge will take place as long as it is safe for the plungers. If there is a change to the schedule, we will post the information here.
