Project Manager

JJ grew up in Boulder and has spent the majority of his life in Colorado, enjoying the many outdoor wonders of this state. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado in Boulder and also spent a semester studying abroad at the engineering school at the University of Costa Rica. As a professional engineer the first decade of his career was spent working for a small firm that specialized in civil and traffic design consulting for New Urbanist projects. The knowledge and experiences gained working in various jurisdictions and terrains across the country proved invaluable when, in 2006, he was asked to join the South Main team and implement the design he had previously completed for the project as a consultant.

JJ moved to Buena Vista in 2006 and currently serves as head of the organization’s construction and development divisions as well as project engineer. JJ has built the majority of the homes in South Main, as well as the Surf Chateau, Surf Hotel and various other commercial projects in the neighborhood. His eye for detail and commitment to excellence has helped to make South Main the beloved place that it is and will continue to be for many years to come.

Outside of work JJ has embraced the myriad rock climbing opportunities available in the BV area and has a newfound passion for the skiing and snowboarding he grew up with now that his children are ready to hit the slopes. He resides in South Main with his wife, 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter.
